NorthStar Agency is an integral part of NorthStar Bank. We are an independent agency that specializes in multiple lines of insurance. Prior to the formation of the bank, our agency was in business for over 50 years in the Estherville community, serving the insurance needs of hundreds of families and businesses. NorthStar Agency has continued to grow in both size and expertise each year. With the acquisition in 2009 we welcomed Peterson Insurance Agency and again in 2012 Emmet County State Bank Insurance Agency. In December of 2021, NorthStar Bank and Agency welcomed its new ownership by Robert Van Diest and his family through their Van Diest Investment Company. NorthStar Agency gained a new sister agency in Town & Country Insurance, Webster City which is led by Doug Follmann. Town & Country is headquartered in Webster City and also has offices in Clarion, Eagle Grove, Fort Dodge, Humboldt, Jewell and Story City, Iowa.
